Please read these Terms of Service carefully before downloading, installing, or using ClipCut AI ("the Service"). By using the Service, you confirm acceptance of these Terms in full.

1. Eligibility

The Service is available to users aged 13 and above. By using ClipCut AI, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. What ClipCut AI Does

ClipCut AI is a Windows desktop application that allows users to download YouTube video clips, crop them to vertical 9:16 format, and add AI-generated captions — entirely on the user's local device. A user account is required for authentication and subscription management only. No video data is uploaded or stored by the Service.

3. User Accounts

• A valid Google account is required to sign in to ClipCut AI.
• Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure.
• Account credentials must not be shared with others.
• Accounts found to be in violation of these Terms may be suspended or terminated without notice.

4. Acceptable Use

ClipCut AI must only be used for lawful purposes. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Downloading or processing copyrighted content without explicit authorization from the rights holder.
• Creating content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise illegal.
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application or its binaries.
• Attempting to bypass or circumvent Free tier usage limits or licensing restrictions.
• Using the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its infrastructure.

5. Copyright Responsibility

Each user is solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to download and process any content used with ClipCut AI. ClipCut AI does not host, store, or distribute user video content and accepts no liability for copyright infringement committed by users.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free Tier: Includes 5 clips per month with limited features. No payment required.
• Pro Tier: A paid monthly subscription granting unlimited clips and access to all features. Payments are processed securely via Lemon Squeezy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refund requests are handled case by case. Contact clipcutaiofficial@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

ClipCut AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Service does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, and use is entirely at the user's own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ClipCut AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

Access to the Service may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, the right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
